About Us
| Established in 1954 by Ian Manson, Wanrua Poll Herefords is one of Victoria's leading Hereford studs. For over 70 years, we have bred elite animals for clients across Australia, and successfully exhibited throughout Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia. Today, Wanrua is proudly run by Ian's son, Andrew, who continues to build the family legacy. Wanrua's early-history stretches back even further, to 1863, when Ian's great-grandfather, Donald Manson, began cattle farming and grazing in the Gippsland area. The family's connection to the land continues to the present day, with Andrew's children representing the sixth generation to live and work on the property. Our decades-long commitment to animal performance, whilst maintaining traditional bloodlines, has helped give us unique insight into what creates the perfect, functional animal.
